Bobbin House Site Location and Access The site for Bobbin House is located in the Whitefriars area of Back Lane, Blakeney, NR25 7NR. Click here for the Google Interactive map. The map isn't quite right but it does indicate that you can reach the site from both the north and south sides. Please, ALWAYS try and use the Whitefriars arch to get to the site however do not attempt to go through the archway if there is any risk of damaging the arch. The normal access is from the north through the Whitefriars arch shown below. When entering Blakeney from the west on the A149 coastal road, Back Lane is on the left (direction north). When entering Back Lane from the A149 coastal road you will pass Coronation Lane on your left. The entrance to Whitefriars is on your right after approximately 100 yards via the Whitefriars arch (see picture below). If, however, you are at the Blakeney quay go east past the duck pond on the left, and the Manor Hotel on the right. Back Lane then bends to the right. On your left is Coast house, then the Whitefriars arch. The site is roughly 100 yards from the arch. On going through the arch you follow the driveway turning right at the top. After turning right you continue going straight for about 50 yards. You will see a wooden fence on your right with the name 'Doelen House' on it. The site entrance is opposite this sign. Please, ALWAYS try and use the Whitefriars archway to get to the site. The archway will obviously make it difficult for some vehicles to access the site. In this case you may enter the site from south through the private lane that is opposite Coronation Lane. This access can be found on Back Lane with a sign for 'Music Room', 'Doelen House' and others as shown below. You should ALWAYS try and enter via the archway before using this entrance. When you enter via the south access you follow the lane to the right and you will find the site on the right immediately after Reef House.
